Use a strong, small knife

Have a towel to protect your hand

Knife the hinge
All oysters have a little slit at the front end that you can slide a knife into

Open by prying up or twisting the knife

Cut Membrane

Peel the oyster back

Clean debris out

Use knife to loosen meat from the shell

Toss it back and eat it.
