"Pretty damn cold" pretty much sums it up. Ambassador and Pro Big Wave Surfer, Emi Erickson, takes us through how she turns a Tundra® 350 Hard Cooler into an easy, at-home cold plunge.

How to DIY an ice bath. Gather the materials:

Tundra® 350 Hard Cooler

8-20 lb. bags of ice

3-5 bigs blocks of ice

A water source

Steps
1 ADD WATER

Fill a Tundra® 350 Hard Cooler three quarters of the way with water. Make sure the cooler is placed on a flat, stable surface to ensure the lid does not close unexpectedly.

2 ADD BAGGED ICE

Empty the bags of ice into your cooler to cool things down.

3 ADD BLOCK ICE

Take things a step further and add in the blocks of ice.

4 (OPTIONAL STEP): QUICK JOG

Build some heat before you chill out.

5 TAKE THE PLUNGE

Hop on in. Deep breathing and a furry companion are highly recommended.

6 ADD BLOCK ICE PERIODICALLY

Add a few new ice blocks every couple days to maintain the temperature so you can get the most out of your ice water.
