At 5'5”,160 pounds, Josh Bridges is considered to be one of the all-time best pound-for-pound CrossFit athletes. With seven Crossfit Game appearances, three of them earning him a spot in the Top 10, a fiery attitude, his “Pay Him” mantra, and a signature victory roar, Josh is a perennial fan favorite. A former collegiate wrestler, Josh Bridges first stepped into a box in 2005, and just six years later, found himself taking home second overall at the 2011 Crossfit Games. During his time serving as a U.S. Navy Seal, he suffered a knee dislocation that sidelined him from the Games. After sitting out in 2012, Josh was determined to come back strong, taking home top ten finishes the following two years. He’s since retired from the armed forces, opting to spend his free time with his two boys. While 2018 was his last year competing at the elite individual level, He is still a fan favorite on and off the competition floor.
