Her father a cowboy, her mother an artist, Hannah Ballantyne is a chip off both blocks. Born in Wyoming, most of her childhood was spent on various sections of the Padlock Ranch, straddling the Montana Wyoming border, where the closest town was an hour away. But for Hannah, that was perfect. Embodying what it means to be a true cowgirl, there’s no place she’d rather ride than the wide open spaces. But when she wasn’t with her horse, she was following her proclivity for the arts, writing plays, designing costumes, or whatever doing whatever other creative endeavor interested her that day. A summer working with Sheridan saddlemaker Matt Moran gave her the opportunity to combine her two passions, starting a leather-making hobby that soon grew into a business. Combining her love for the western way of life with her eye for style, she creates leather pieces that appeal to both those in the lifestyle and those who are not. And while a successful business and a life on the ranch might be enough for some, Hannah matches the restlessness of the American West, remaining open to new opportunities to learn and grow.
