At just 19 years old, Alex Megos became the first climber to scale a 9a rated route on the first attempt. It’s no wonder he’s highly regarded as one of the best climbers in the world right now. Also known for his fast ascents on hard test pieces, Alex has been climbing since he was 6 years old and made the quick transition to multi-pitch by age 10. It wasn’t long before he was establishing some of the hardest routes in the climbing world, and earning medal after medal, eventually qualifying for both the Tokyo and Paris Olympics. When he’s not climbing for a medal, he’s doing it for personal enjoyment, traveling to world-famous crags to climb the hardest route or make his own.
