Xavier De Le Rue's resume not only spans decades, but also genres. He's been skiing for as long as he's been walking, and started snowboarding at the age of 13. From backcountry peaks and Alaskan volcanos to first descents and Freeride World Tour wins, Xavier has had a heavy hand in making big mountain snowboarding into what it is today. The four-time winner of the Verbier Xtreme is now finding a new focus in this season of his life by focusing on sustainability and his three daughters. In 2020, he took on a two-year project that required him to find new ways to access big mountain lines without the use of a helicopter. His latest adventure included his 18-year-old daughter Mila and brother, Victor, sailing across the Drake Passage to ride lines in Antarctica. With all he's accomplished, it's hard to imagine he's left any stone unturned, but knowing Xavier, we can't wait to see what boulder he finds next.
