It’s rare for someone’s first job to translate into usable experience for a professional career, but Hugo Boserup’s years working skatepark construction starting at age 16 served him well. In addition to providing lots of different riding terrain to skate on and learning how to make spots more skatable, it taught him how to show up on time and get work done. Two pretty essential life skills.

Now, well into his professional skateboarding career, the Copenhagen native lives and skates in Los Angeles where he’s raising two kids with his wife Frankie (a pro surfer). Hugo continues to stand apart in the space as an all-terrain skateboarder who operates with intention, finding new fans without compromising himself, while earning the reputation of being a great person all around.
