Tank
FAQs
The YETI Tank is an open‑top, insulated ice bucket for high‑volume, quick access; Tundra and Roadie are lidded coolers for long‑haul cold retention. All use rotomolded shells, FatWall™ Design, and PermaFrost™ Insulation; Tundra/Roadie add an InterLock™ Lid System, ColdLock™ Gasket, and T‑Rex™ Lid Latches to maximize ice hold and bear resistance.
Expert Tip: If you need hours of pass‑around cold, grab Tank — if you need days, grab Tundra.
Expect hours but not multi‑day, because the Tank has no lid and trades a bit of efficiency for easy access. PermaFrost™ Insulation and FatWall™ Design still slow melt; shade, low airflow, and a high ice‑to‑contents ratio extend hold time.
Expert Tip: Pre‑chill the Tank with a sacrificial bag of ice, then refill with fresh ice right before guests show.
The YETI Tank comes in 45 and 85. Tank 45 is backyard‑friendly for mixed drinks, oysters, and cases of cans; Tank 85 steps up for crawfish boils, big hauls, and fits a standard 1/2‑barrel keg on ice. Both keep scoops and hands moving without a lid in the way.
Expert Tip: Stage bottles vertical in the 85 and pour ice around them — it pours faster, drains cleaner.
Yes, both sizes use our Vortex™ Drain System with a gasketed, screw‑in plug for quick, watertight emptying. To clean, pull the plug, hose it out, use mild dish soap, avoid bleach or solvents, and air‑dry with the plug open. BearFoot™ Non‑Slip Feet keep it steady while you spray.
Expert Tip: A soft‑bristle brush knocks out crawfish and bait residue without scuffing the rotomolded shell.
Tank coolers use rotomolded construction, FatWall™ Design, and pressure‑injected PermaFrost™ Insulation for rugged, even chill; BearFoot™ Non‑Slip Feet to stay put; DoubleHaul™ Handles for controlled carries; and the Vortex™ Drain System for fast cleanouts. There’s no lid, gasket, or latches by design — that’s what keeps the crowd moving.
Expert Tip: Park it in the shade and out of the wind — you’ll feel the difference by last call.
