For select Ranchero™ and Bozeman™ Backpacks, we offer a repair option as part of the warranty claim process. If your pack qualifies, you can choose repair instead of replacement.
Repairs are completed by our in-house repair team using proven pack repair methods.
Repair can help reduce waste and extend the life of gear that’s built to last. When it’s the right solution, repair can hel keep packs in use and out of landfills. Repair is also a way of letting you hold onto packs that already carry stories and memories.
Currently, the repair option is available for select Ranchero™ and Bozeman™ Backpacks. Eligibility depends on the specific damage and overall condition of the pack.
If your bag is eligible and you opt for the repair program during the warranty claim process, we’ll review your claim photos first to see if repair looks possible before moving forward.
Here’s what to expect:
- You submit a warranty claim with photos and opt for the repair program.
- Our team reviews the photos to understand the issue and determine the best path forward.
- In some cases, we may be able to resolve the issue by sending you a replacement part.
- If the pack needs hands‑on repair, we’ll email you with next steps and shipping instructions.
- Once your pack arrives, it’s inspected in person to confirm repair is still the right path.
- If repair is confirmed, it enters the repair queue.
- After repairs are complete, the pack is shipped back to you.
Each repair case is evaluated individually, and final repair eligibility is confirmed by our internal repair team.
No. Photo review helps us assess repair potential, but final confirmation happens after we receive and inspect the pack.
If the pack can’t be safely or reliably repaired, we’ll follow up with next steps.
Yes. Packs must be clean and completely dry before shipping.
Please:
- Empty all pockets
- Remove accessories and loosen straps
- Shake out debris
- Wash with mild dish soap and water
- Air dry fully
Packs that arrive dirty may be returned without repair.
YETI® covers shipping both ways. We’ll send you a prepaid shipping label to get your pack to the repair facility, and we’ll cover the return shipping back to you once repairs are complete.
Repair timing varies based on the type of repair needed and current repair volume. Once your pack is received and inspected, we’ll share a general timeline estimate.
Repairs are made to restore function and extend the life of your pack. Some cosmetic signs of use or repair may remain.
Repairs may include stitching, panel reinforcement, zipper work, or hardware replacement when appropriate. Not all damage types will be considered repairable under this program.
Each pack is evaluated on its own merits.
If repair isn’t possible after inspection, we’ll contact you with available next steps based on your warranty claim.
