While he has a few titles under his belt, snowboarding has been integral in Victor Daviet’s life beyond just competing. His experience with avalanche threats while in the backcountry led him to start Safety Shred Days, an organization aimed to educate freeriders about risk management and rescue. In 2021, he flew to Pakistan to coach the Afghanistan snowboard team. Just a year later, he was flying them to France to escape political unrest, and helped find them jobs, homes, and eventually asylum. In his own words, he “went from no kids to 7 kids after one phone call.” A humanitarian through and through, Victor leverages his influence for good, using his skill and privilege to lend a helping hand to whoever needs it.
