Maddie grew up in Colorado, the youngest in a family of four girls. With two Canadian parents, she spent her summers as a child exploring the many woods and lakes of Ontario with a spin rod and a can of worms. This is where her love of fishing began.
In her teenage years, she traded out the worms for a fly rod and a box full of dry flies, she was officially hooked.
Maddie went on to explore a life that revolved around her love of fishing and the outdoors. After college in the Northwest, she found herself in Santa Fe, New Mexico before returning to Colorado to work as a fly fishing guide for the next five years.
Today, Maddie has settled in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and lives with her first-ever flyfishing guide (aka her high school sweetheart and husband). Her love of fishing continues to push her around the world in search of new water and species to catch with a fly rod.
