What are the benefits of product registration?

Registering your products allows you to fill up your gear locker, keep track of all your gear, discover collections, and collect digital stickers. 

What gear can be registered?

Any coolers, drinkware, bags, cargo, or outdoor living products should be able to be registered — even discontinued gear.

What gear cannot be registered?

Apparel, headware, patches, accessories, and skillets are currently ineligible for registration.

Do I have to re-register gear I already registered?

Anything registered before August 6, 2024 will need to be re-registered to show up in your Gear Locker. You do not have to re-register for any other reason.

How can I register my gear?

You can register your products here. There are three ways to register: from your yeti.com account order history, scanning the QR code or serial number printed on your product, or searching our gear catalog to add manually.

Do I have to have an account to register my gear?

Yes, you will need to sign in or create an account to register your gear.

Can I register a product without a serial number?

Yes, you can register gear without a serial number by searching the product in our gear catalog and adding it manually.

Can I register a product I bought from another store?

Yes, we encourage all users to register any YETI products they own, regardless of where they were purchased.

Can I register a product I received as a gift?

Yes, we encourage you to register any products that you own and use in your pursuits of the wild.

Can I register products that are no longer available on yeti.com?

Yes, you can register most historical and discontinued gear.

Why can’t I register my product?

Your product may have a broken or outdated serial number.  Try to add your gear manually from the gear catalog. If you still can’t find it, that gear may be ineligible to register. If so, submit feedback on which product you are trying to register.

Do I have to register my product to be able to file a warranty claim?

No, product registration is not required to submit a warranty claim.

What should I do if I want to register a product that is not available in the list?

You can add suggestions or report missing products. Our team will review it and see if it can be added!

Can I register a product that was already registered by another member of my household?

Yes, a shared YETI product can be added to multiple users’ collections.

The card in my YETI mentions a free gift, what is that about?

We will send you a sticker pack for completing the registration process. Just make sure you have a default address saved to your account. In our efforts to reduce our impact on the environment, limits apply to one gift in a 2 week time period.

What is Gear Locker?

Gear Locker is your virtual storage space for all the YETI gear you use in the wild. Keep track of everything you own in one space and discover new products, collections, online content and more.

What does it mean to get a digital sticker?

Digital stickers are rewarded for unlocking an achievement or completing a collection.

How do I get a digital sticker?

You can get a digital sticker by completing certain actions within your account, completing collections, and for registering products.

What happens when I get a digital sticker?

Digital stickers are collected on the cooler in your Gear Locker. Grow your collection and share with friends!

I am missing a digital sticker, what do I do?

If you think you’re missing a sticker, contact us to help troubleshoot the issue.

Are these real stickers?

No, these are digital stickers for your virtual cooler.

How do I complete a color collection?

Register at least 4 items in that color. 


Can I add more products to my color collection once it is complete?

Yes. There’s no limit to the number of products you can add to your collection. 


If I am having trouble adding my product with the serial number, what can I do?

If your serial number is not working, you can always register your product manually from our gear catalog.  Click the link to “register by Product Type,” and you should be good to go.

Is there a way to remove products?

Yes, select the product you'd like to remove and click see details. You'll see “remove from locker” in the top right corner.

I added my product to my Gear Locker but it’s not in My Collections. How do I see the product in My Collections?

Remove the product from your Gear Locker and then add it again manually “by product type.”
