See All FAQsThe YETI™ Fire Pit is made from corten steel, a durable material that is corrosion resistant. When you first get your fire pit, it will be a blue steel and may have some marks from manufacturing. Over time, your fire pit will develop a bronze-colored patina that provides a protective layer and extends the life of the steel.
Once your fire pit has cooled off, use a shovel or a trowel to clean everything out. To extend the life of your pit, don’t let water sit in your pit.
The fire pit lid is 14.8 lbs and the fire iron is 2.9 lbs.
To start your fire, we recommend starting with an even pile of tinder in the center of the pit. Lean kindling on top of the tinder at a slight angle and light the tinder pile. Once it catches fire, you can slowly add more kindling and larger fuel logs. Remember to leave room between fuel logs to allow some airflow. Make sure you don’t overfill the fire pit.
