Not so useful
I thought I could leave it permanently on cooler and open it and let water flow through cooler hose connected to it .... but it’s not the case

Drain plug hose connector
There is no shutoff on it. Have to buy a garden hose shutoff. And might Teflon the threads so doesn’t leak. Otherwise works well

Worked as it should
Works well only thing I didnt know when purchasing was you have to have a hose hooked up all the time as soon as you remove the cap water leaks out. It doesnt work like the original drain valve

Drain Plug Hose Connection Improvement needed
I love this, but I would agree with most people that it needs to have its own open/close valve. I think most of us have purchased one from HD, making it sticking out longer + when you add the hose it is not a 90 degrees. Also, it would be very helpful to have a drain hole on both sides of the coolers, specially the bigger ones. I got the 75 and on by boat the drain hole is in the opposite side.

Purchased Hose connection on 7/25/19 and got it the next day and does what is has to do...5 STARS....looked at the top and doesn’t have the Yeti logo 1 STAR, very disappointed on that!

No Valve
Poor product design with no valve to keep the drain closed until you attach a hose. So now I have to hack a solution.
