Yes, all of our Daytrip® Soft Coolers are made with ColdCell Flex™ Insulation. The Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack keeps your provisions fresh for a day.
How does the thermal performance of the Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack compare to the other Daytrip® Soft Coolers?
It uses the same ColdCell Flex™ Insulation as our other Daytrip® Soft Coolers. The backpack keeps your provisions fresh for a day.
How does the Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack compare to Hopper® Soft Coolers?
The Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack keeps your provisions fresh for a day and the Hopper® Soft Coolers hold the cold for over 24 hours. Hopper® Soft Coolers feature strong closures that are ideal for wet ice and extreme conditions. The Daytrip® Soft Coolers have an easy-access opening, and we recommend using ice packs.
How can I use the Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack?
We recommend using it for short excursions or daylong outings like sideline hangs, tailgates, picnics, farmers markets, etc.
How many 12 oz. cans will fit in the Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack?
It can hold 33 cans.
What other YETI® Gear can I use with it?
The Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack can hold all sizes of the YETI® Ice Sheets and YETI® Food Storage. You can also stash your favorite Rambler® or Yonder® Water Bottle (up to 26 oz.) in the hydration pocket.
Is it leakproof?
The liner in the backpack is leakproof, but the zippered closure is not. We recommend using ice packs rather than wet ice.
Is it waterproof?
The material is weather resistant and easy to clean. The zipper closure is not waterproof and we do not recommend submerging it.
Will it sweat on the outside?
If you’re using it indoors to keep your food chilled, it won’t sweat. But it’s possible in high heat and humid conditions.
Can I use dry ice or wet ice?
No, we do not recommend using dry ice or wet ice with Daytrip® Soft Coolers. To keep your provisions cold, we commend YETI® Ice Sheets.
Does it have any exterior pockets?
Yes. The Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack has a zippered pocket in the upper lid, a stash pocket in the front, and a pocket on each side for your water bottles.

No, the Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack only has exterior pockets.
Is it comfortable to carry?
Yes, the Daytrip® 20L Insulated Backpack has a comfortable back panel and padded shoulder straps for a comfortable carry.
