For over a decade, Matt West has been a defining voice in PBR arenas, using his role as announcer to tell the stories behind the riders and, just as importantly, the animal athletes.
But between each ride, the announcer becomes the main character of the event. Matt West has been that familiar voice and persona weekend after weekend at PBR events across the country. More than getting the crowd going and adding gravity to the big moments, the riders and stock contractors also love him for bringing more people into the sport through the stories he tells.
He considers himself a fan of the sport more than anything, but to many in the sport, he’s considered family. And here, he’s our host of Bloodlines.
YETI Bloodlines, in partnership with PBR, goes behind the scenes in this series of three films to explore the toughness, the relationships, and the people who care for some of the best bucking bulls of Professional Bull Riders.
A perfect score is 100. Jose Vitor Leme and Woopaa set the record at 98 ¾, which is the highest score in the history of the PBR. Woopaa, the world champion bucking bull, had his absolute best performance. And Jose Vitor Leme was without a doubt the best bull rider in the world for that 8 seconds. Watching that ride at ground level, they could have marked the score at 130 and nobody would have doubted it.
Lane Frost and Red Rock had their back and forth. J.B. Mauney had Bushwhacker. And I think in our current generation, it's Jose Vitor Leme and Woopaa.
I think in this industry, Jerome and Tiffany Davis are two of the most amazing humans God ever created. Not only did Jerome contribute inside the arena, now he and Tiffany are continuing to give back to the sport with the bulls they bring to the PBR. And now they’re starting to take who they are as people and the knowledge they have and give back in PBR teams. It’s also amazing how Tiffany is a leader in the sport for women. She’s on the back of the bucking chutes, flanking the bulls, and having an influence in how women show up and participate in the sport.
For anyone who's ever said, “Don't meet your heroes,” they haven't met these two yet.

They put so much pride and energy into their program and have built a foundation of great mommas and great bulls. And they continue to show up.
