Caro North
La Tzoumaz, Switzerland
For Caro North, the more remote, the better. At 16, she made a name for herself after climbing the highest mountain in South America, clocking in at almost 7,000 meters. In the years that followed, she continued reaching new heights with a number of first ascents in India, South Africa, Alaska, Canada, Chile, and Argentina. In 2022, Caro was among the eight women who completed the Via Sedna expedition, sailing from France to Greenland and back to complete the first ascent of the east face of the Northern Sun Spire. When she’s not on an expedition, she splits her time as a climbing guide between Patagonia and Switzerland, and working on her latest interest — paragliding.
