Salt Lake City (January 8, 2020) — USA Climbing announced today a multi-year partnership with YETI® Holdings, Inc. (“YETI”) (NYSE: YETI), a leading premium outdoor brand, becoming the Official Cooler and Drinkware Partner of USA Climbing in support of the organization’s sustainability efforts.

The partnership will integrate YETI into all aspects of the sport and organization, including becoming the first title sponsor of the prestigious Bouldering Open National Championships and providing critical support for the U.S. National Team as they compete internationally and train at the USA Climbing Training Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with YETI,” said Marc Norman, CEO of USA Climbing. “Not only are the products and brand’s commitment to sustainability and reducing single use plastic perfectly aligned with our community’s needs and lifestyle, but their coolers and drinkware will also play a key role in keeping our athletes hydrated as we compete in Tokyo’s hot and humid conditions.”

“We are extremely proud to partner with USA Climbing as they work to grow the sport and prepare athletes for international competition while focusing on sustainability,” said Bill Neff, Vice President of Consumer Marketing for YETI. “We love how the sport continues to be introduced to more and more people and we’re excited to help support that growth while working to reduce single-use plastic.”

The 2020 YETI Bouldering Open National Championships will be held at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center in Redmond, Ore. Jan. 31 to Feb. 1. ESPN will livestream and broadcast the Championships.

This partnership marks the first Olympic national governing body investment for YETI, following successful partnerships across the professional sports and outdoor landscape.
