SUPPLY CHAIN ACTIONS
Prior to partnering with new suppliers, we use an internal audit team to conduct risk assessments, and we use the results of these assessments to inform our sourcing decisions. To ensure ongoing fair labor practices within our supply chain, we use internal and third-party auditing teams to conduct announced and unannounced audits of our suppliers, allowing us to evaluate risks and share best practices.
YETI’s Workplace Code of Conduct is modeled after the Fair Labor Association (FLA) standards. Through our supplier agreements, all YETI suppliers are required to comply with our Code of Conduct as well as any more stringent laws in the locale, region, and country in which they do business. Non-compliance with our company standards regarding slavery and trafficking is considered a zero-tolerance issue at YETI. Moreover, suppliers who violate our Code of Conduct will be subject to corrective action or contract termination, depending on the number of non-compliances found and their severity.
Through our affiliation with the FLA, suppliers are selected at random for announced or unannounced audits by an independent 3rd party auditor each calendar year. Additionally, YETI has developed a program to annually audit all Tier 1 suppliers using a combination of internal and third-party auditors. Our internal team works with the third-party auditors and suppliers to develop and complete Corrective Action Plans to address opportunities identified during audits.
Training is provided for YETI Social Compliance personnel via the FLA training portal, and the Code of Conduct is communicated to our suppliers through our supplier agreements, our third-party supporting partners, and directly from YETI personnel.
