Crossroads 35 back pack
Heavy duty, high quality material with strong zippers and hardware. Well worth the extra money. So many pockets and access points make it user friendly.

LOVE
This backpack is perfect for my "mom" bag for weekends in the gym for AAU basketball. It holds bandaids, Advil, massage gun, snacks, and everything the team could possibly need in a hurry. Will be adding Yeti packing cubes next.

Good carry on for a weekend trip.
Tough material makes it rugged but stiff as a result. Hard to get to zippers when packed to the gills. I used it as a carry on for a week in Nashville. That's too long a trip. Too much clothing leaves no room for laptop, water bottle, or much of anything. This is a weekend bag and that's it. One change of clothing and that is it.

Fantastic Backpack
I have owned this backpack for about a month now and I am very happy with its performance. It does have, in my opinion, a couple of design flaws that could have been better executed but I would certainly recommend this pack:
1. Aesthetic - the pack is sleek, very premium and the waterproof zipper tracks are an excellent feature. Just to look at the pack, it’s quite eye catching. A real head turner.
2. Straps - the straps are fantastic! Sooo comfortable to carry. The hard backside is also very nice. However, I will say that it gets very hot when carried over a long period of time (as in, back sweating...a lot).
3. Compartments - This is why I gave the review a 4/5 stars. Be warned. This backpack opens only one way and that is from the main zipper compartment at the back. The only other way to get into the compartment is by the 3/4 zipper on the left side. If you are searching for something, it’s nearly impossible to find anything unless you sit the pack down, unzip completely and look. The zipper pockets that are separate from the main compartment are nice but there is simply no way to easily access these. The front zipper compartment of the pack is great for your phone, ID, passport, documents, etc and I love how the zipper is tucked so it doesn’t get caught on things. The top compartment is great for small items you need quick access to. The built is lanyard is another great feature though the placement and length could have been reimagined so that you could pull it from the side rather than the top. I find I can’t use the lanyard with my ID badge or physical door keys attached because it is too short to reach.
4. Use and Overall Satisfaction - I primarily use this backpack for work. I travel between several schools and it suits my needs perfectly. The tech sleeve is fantastic!! The fact that it can hold a Yeti Rambler bottle on the right side pocket is also terrific! That pocket is actually one of my favorite features. The waterproofing and rugged nature are bonuses.
Overall, I do recommend the pack. You will enjoy carrying it and it will certainly last!

Bad functionality
It basically has one main compartment with a divider. I wish you could stow the divider or attach it to the smaller side of the main compartment but you have to unzip the mile long main compartment zipper (outside) and then unzip the mile long inside divider zipper. Wish it utilized magnets like so many other yeti products and attach it to either side. Great quality though.

Not as Sturdy as the Original Crossroads
I bought this backpack to upgrade the size of my trusty Crossroads 23. Unfortunately, this bag does not seem to be as sturdy and lacks some of the features of the original. For starters, this bag does not stand up on its own. Sometimes it “tries” to stand, but definitely is not reliable. Secondly, it lacks some of the features such as padded handles…and the straps are about a half as thick (padding), and the canvas seems much thinner. At the end of the day, I still appreciate the upgrade, I just wish I didn’t feel like they were trying to cut costs by sacrificing quality.
