What is a YETI Hopper® Cooler?
It's the ice-for-days, tough-as-nails soft cooler. The YETI Hopper Cooler is built to go the extra mile with its highly portable design and construction. It's leak-resistant, puncture-resistant, able to keep ice for days, and ready to hit the trail, boat, or blind.
Is there a warranty on the Hopper Cooler?

How long will the Hopper Cooler keep ice?
The Hopper Cooler, with its welded DryHide™ double-TPU Shell, thick ColdCell™ Insulation, and MagShield Access top provide serious cold-holding power. But due to all of the variables that affect ice retention, and because every adventure is different, we believe it might be misleading to make specific claims about how long a cooler will hold ice.

When I threw a bag of ice in my Hopper Cooler and my cheap cooler, the ice lasted longer in my cheap cooler. Why?
Just like the Tundra, the Hopper Cooler is designed to keep ice colder longer, but there are many variables that can affect your ice. This includes the temperature of the cooler when being loaded, ice quality, ice quantity, type of ice (crushed, block, cube), outside environment, exposure to direct sunlight, etc. We suggest cooling your cooler down by “sacrificing” a bag of ice in your cooler before putting in a second bag with your refreshments.

Can you put dry ice in a Hopper Soft Cooler
Nope, not a good idea. Hopper Coolers are not compatible with dry ice. Using dry ice will cause the airtight vessel to explode.
What size Hopper Cooler should I buy?
The Hopper was engineered for portability. Any size is the perfect on-the-go cooler for kayaking, floating the river, or short camping trips. Something to consider when choosing a size is that ideally you would want to fill the cooler with as much ice as possible, minimizing air space to achieve maximum ice retention. Therefore, if you only have a small number of items to keep cool, you would want to choose a smaller cooler or vice versa.

How many cans will fit in my Hopper Cooler?
With plenty of ice to help chill your drinks, here is the number of 12 oz. cans that will fit inside the YETI Hopper Cooler. Ideally you want to have an ice-to-contents ratio by volume of at least 2:1 (reflected in the below quantity).

What options and accessories are available for my Hopper?
Accessorize your Hopper with the flexibility of the HitchPoint™ Grid. Easily fasten bottle openers, carabiners, key chains, or accessories through the nylon strapping. You can also outfit your Hopper with the Bottle Key Opener and MOLLE Zinger.
WARNING: Do not leave your soft cooler open in the presence of children or animals. Entrapment and suffocation can occur. Do not machine wash. Do not dry in an oven or clothes dryer. Do not use bleach.
HOW IS THE HOPPER WITH MAGSHIELD DIFFERENT THAN ITS PREDECESSOR, THE HOPPER WITH HYDROSHIELD?
This cooler delivers on a top customer request — a wide, easier opening that stays open when you need it to and easily closes when you are hanging out at your destination.
What’s the best way to clean it?
A mixture of mild soap and warm water should do the trick. Rinse the entire cooler with fresh water, then thoroughly wipe the inside dry with a cloth or a paper towel. If you'd like, you can prop it open overnight to ensure all of the moisture evaporates before storage, but please make sure it's flipped upside down when drying out. Please do not leave the cooler propped open and unattended in the presence of children and animals.
How should I store it?
Store it clean, unbuckled, completely dry, and with the magnetic closure sealed. This will keep your cooler in great shape for years to come.
What is the easiest way to carry it?
While on the move, buckle down the fold-over closure and keep the cooler upright. There are carry handles, and we've included a shoulder strap for convenient hauling.
What are the dimensions of the opening when it remains open?
You can easily fit an assembled 6-pack through the opening.
How long can you anticipate ice retention – regular and YETI Thin ICE™?
When loaded up with YETI Thin ICE™ and wet ice using our 2:1 ratio by volume the cold holding power will last similarly to traditional YETI ICE®.
Please note: Magnets may interfere with the operation of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators.
HOW WIDE IS THE NEW OPENING?
You can easily fit a six-pack through the opening.
HOW TALL DOES THE FLIP-TOP STAND?
There isn't a "flip" top on this one. When the product is clipped closed for transporting, it is 18.1 inches tall. When the product is unclipped and fully open, it is 22 inches tall.
DOES THIS FIT IN A CARRY-ON COMPARTMENT?
Yes, this cooler fits in most standard carry-on compartments, but give your airline a call or check their website before traveling to confirm.
HOW LONG DOES THE ICE HOLD UP WHEN USING REGULAR ICE VS YETI THIN ICE?
When using YETI ICE® or YETI Thin ICE™, we suggest pairing this cooler with wet ice as well since it has a ultra leak-resistant seal. We recommend using the large YETI Thin ICE™ which is optimized for soft coolers.
When YETI Thin ICE™ is coupled with wet ice using the 2:1 ratio based on the volume, the ice retention will be similar to YETI ICE.
